My heart is FULL!! I have been starving for a local grocery that has food I can trust, and man oh man FBFC nailed it! Great produce, expansive bulk section, good cheese section and local bread. Has everything you need, and more, like local artisan goods and an impressive to-go drink section. LOVE IT. So happy y'all are here

Great place for bulk herbs and raw vegan snacks. Lots of local produce too if you can't make the farmers markets

The French Broad Food Co-Op is a small grocery store in Downtown Asheville but filled with high quality products that are reasonably priced. Parking is available too. The selection of fresh produce was large and I like that they have products I've not seen elsewhere.

This is the kind of local food shop you'd think Asheville would have. It has some niche brands of organic things and a decent sized produce section. The shop is two good-sized rooms, but a little light on selection to be a sole source of food. I picked up a couple of worthwhile things but didn't find everything I was looking for. I would like to see Asheville having a really large and top-class co-op of this sort. You'd think the people of this area would support it. But the one that's there now is centrally located and worth a look. The salad I got was quite substantial, and some interesting non-dairy beverages were available.

Wow. What a find. This is the best coop I've ever been to. Amazing selection and great prices. Spoke w the cashier for awhile and bought a t shirt. Easy parking. #AshevilleStrong

Been going here 30+ years. Getting better all the time. best bulk department in the southeastern United States!

Been grabbing lunches here to save money at work. They always have at least one gluten free option and everything I've tried is delicious. The staff has always been friendly and answered any questions I've had. Plus it has a decidedly Asheville feel, it was the first place I went into when I moved into town about 15 years ago and every time I walk through the doors it brings that nostalgic feeling right back. Definitely recommend, been to all the co-op type places within an hour or two and they all have a special place in my heart for various reasons!

Please fix the parking lot-- my car can't handle any more undercarriage damage. Other than that I love this place.

First time in this co-op organic food store. As my partner mentioned, this store and business has stood the test of time. A small group of us had finished lunch elsewhere and were walking around, window shopping and decided to stop in. What an incredible assortment of organic and wholesome food items. This is the first store I found buffalo mozzarella bathed in basil in. Just add an organic tomato and some balsamic for a tasty salad. The bulk items and herb selection is enormous. If one is preparing for an herbal cleaanse just bring your list, I'm sure you will find it. One can buy small quantities as well. A good way to see if a particular herb is tolerated. Nice Lodi Zinfandel selection as well.

I have been coming to French Broad Food Co-op for many years. Back then, there were no real "health food stores" in my area, and I would drive 1-1/2 hours to come here. I also co-oped with a group in my area to buy from FBFC, at one point in time. Times have changed, and so has FBFC. But, they still have that funky, hippie vibe, now with a few politically-correct stances thrown in. Because there is a Whole Foods located in Asheville now, you may not Need to go to FBFC, but you SHOULD go there. It's an experience.
